Een reünie van The Kinks? Het zou zo maar kunnen: Dave Davies heeft bevestigd te werken aan nieuwe muziek en een mogelijk nieuw album. Vorig jaar liet Ray Davies zich al eens ontvallen “a new Kinks record” op te willen nemen met zijn broer Dave, en Kinks drummer Mick Avory. “The trouble is, the two remaining members, my brother Dave and Mick, never got along very well,” aldus Ray. “But I’ve made that work in the studio and it’s fired me up to make them play harder, and with fire.” Het eerste resultaat is daar: de single ‘The Future’. Maar is het wat?!
