The Temples droppen nieuwe muziek! Vandaag lanceert de Britse groep, met sinds een tijdje de Nederlander Rens Ottink tot de gelederen, de single “Paraphernalia”. Het nummer was net te laat voor een plekje op het album ‘Hot motion’, maar wie weet voor de volgende plaat? De track is geproduceerd door Sean Ono Lennon en gemixt door Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, Interpol, Flaming Lips, MGMT).
Temples frontman James Bagshaw schreef het nummer “In an age of constant distraction, we all strive to find focus and a sense of calm. Paraphernalia questions the depth of ‘real’ connections in a digital world” – and the track is appropriately swirling and kaleidoscopic, incorporating the elements of neo-psych and disco-pop that are signature to both Temples’ and Lennon’s songwriting.”
