Passenger is terug met een nieuwe singel! Nou, helemaal nieuw is ‘Circles’ niet, want het nummer stond op zijn debuutalbum ‘All the little lights’. Op deze plaat was ook zijn wereldwijde hit ‘Let her go’ te vinden. Op 10 november verschijnt van zijn debuut plaat en jubileum uitgave via via Black Crow Records / Cooking Vinyl. Alle songs op het album zijn in een nieuw jasje gestoken. Zo ook ‘Circles’, want voor de nieuwe uitvoering riep de Britse singer-songwriter Mike Rosenberg (aka Passenger) de hulp in van Gabrielle Aplin.
“’Circles’ is a really special and quite unique song for me,” legt Passenger aan ons uit. “I wrote it about my best friend from childhood. His family lived around the corner from ours and for years we were completely inseparable – it was a simple and happy time. Life happens though – it gets busy, people follow different paths, and it hasn’t always been so easy to spend time together. When we do though, it’s like we’re eight years old again. I feel so grateful to still have that… people who know you so well and for so long are unbelievably precious.”
