The Alarm is terug! De new wave band uit Wales rond Mike Peters dropt vandaag de video voor de nieuwe single ‘Brighter Than The Sun’. Dit is het eerste voorproefje van het album ‘∑Sigma’, dat op 28 juni zal verschijnen. Het nummer is geïnspireerd op de intensieve radiotherapiebehandelingen die zijn vrouw voor borstkanker onderging in 2016.
“The lyrics came straightaway; I was trying to keep up with them on my phone while I was driving home. I was just so inspired by how someone can go through the most incredible, life-threatening situation, but they’re affirming that you can come through it as well. There’s a light that comes off people who become alive in those moments. I really saw that in my own life, with Jules, so that’s where that song came from.”
