De 17e editie van het Europees kampioenschap voetbal mannen 2024 of UEFA Euro 2024 wordt gehouden in de zomer van 2024 in Duitsland. In de planning staat de openingswedstrijd op 14 juni en de finale op 14 juli 2024. Intussen is bekend gemaakt dat de UEFA EURO 2024 song wordt gemaakt door de Italiaanse DJ’s en producers Meduza, de Duitse zangeres Leony en OneRepublic. Het nummer heet ‘Fire’.
Over de nieuwe singel, waarvan de release datum nog niet bekend is, zegt Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic): “Growing up, American football and football were the sports I played the most from age five. Performing at the closing ceremony of EURO 2024 in Berlin is an incredible opportunity and honour for any artist, but is truly exciting for me personally. The energy that comes with this sport is like nothing else in the world. We absolutely cannot wait.” UEFA EURO vindt plaats in de stadions in Berlijn, Keulen, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, München en Stuttgart.
