Coldplay gooit vandaag de video online van het nummer ‘Champion Of The World, afkomstig van het laatste album ‘Everyday Life’. Met de titelsong staat de Britse band nog altijd bij de bovenste beste tien van de TOP 40. Het nummer ’Champion Of The World’ werd vooraf de album release gelanceerd als promotie single.
Het nummer is deels geschreven door Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison. “Scott had a song called ‘Los Angeles Be Kind,’ which I love,” zegt Chris Martin in een statement. “When I first heard it, I thought it was going to go one way; but it went another. Anyway ‘Champion of the World’ is the song that came from following the other path, and that’s why Scott is a co-writer on this song. Today is also his birthday. So happy birthday Scott and thank you for your beautiful music, wherever you are.”
