Troye Sivan is terug met een nieuwe single. ‘Wait’ heet het nummer, dat hij schreef met de Australiër Gordi. Het is niet voor het eerst dat de twee samenwerkten; dat gebeurde ook voor het nummer ‘Postcard’ van Sivan’s album ‘Bloom’. Het nieuwe nummer ‘Wait’ is geschreven voor de film ‘Three Months’, die verschijnt via Paramount+. Over de single zegt Gordi: “I love collaborating with Troye. He has this unique way of speaking in images that we then try and translate into melody and lyrics. Our instincts with songwriting really seem to align and after our work on “Postcard,” I was excited to have another chance to work together. He told me all about 3 Months and said he wanted to write an original song for it. As a proud member of the queer community, I felt a deep connection to the film. We wanted to write a song that was worthy of the story.”
In Nederland brak Troye Sivan door in 2017 met het nummer ‘There For You’, met Martin Garrix. Zijn laatste album ‘Bloom’ dateert van 2018, waarop ‘My My My’ en zijn samenwerking met Ariana Grande ‘Dance To This’, terug te vinden zijn. Het afgelopen jaar scoorde hij een hit in Nederland met ‘You’, een samenwerking met Tate McRae en Regard.
