TOP 100 Decade of the 10`s: #98

De nummer 98 in de TOP 100 Decade of the 10`s is weggelegd voor Hurts met ‘Wonderful Live’. Wat een plaaaaaaat! Het nummer van het synthpop duo kwam uit in het voorjaar van 2010 en was afkomstig van hun debuutplaat ‘Happiness’. Adam Anderson en Theo Hutchcraft, de twee bandleden, maakten veel indruk met het album: er werden er wereldwijd 2 miljoen van verkocht.

Theo legt uit, wat het idee achter de single was: “It’s basically based on two extremes: the first being a man who wants to kill himself and the second being love at first sight. He’s standing on the bridge about to jump and he’s stopped by a woman. They see each other and fall in love. She basically says, ‘Come with me, it’s all going to be fine’. The song only offers a snippet of someone’s life, so we don’t know what happens at the end of it.”
