Tom Odell lanceert zijn nieuwe single “Piano Man”. Het is zijn versie van de track, die origineel de debuutsingle was van Billy Joel. (1973) Het nummer verwijst naar de periode dat Joel geld moest verdienen als barpianist. De opbrengst van Tom`s nieuwe versie gaan naar BBC Children in Need.
Tom Odell: “Piano Man is one of my favourite songs of all time. It inspired me to begin writing my own songs when I was a teenager. I still have to pinch myself that I got the opportunity to play with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden. Whilst my cover of the song will never be as good as the original, I feel pretty chuffed with it, and having finished my touring for the year, am now going to dedicate myself to raising as much money for Children in Need as possible.”
