The Cat Empire heeft zichzelf opnieuw uitgevonden! In 2021 kondigde frontman Felix Riebl aan, dat de band zou stoppen in zijn bestaande vorm, maar dat hij samen met Ollie McGill werkte aan een nieuwe bezetting: “for a new incarnation of The Cat Empire to come to life”. Die missie is geslaagd! De Australische band is terug met de single ‘Thunder rumbles’. De clip veroorzaakte volgens Riebl “a lot of laughter”. De video is volgens hem “a real throwback to clips from the ‘80s [and] ‘90s”.
