Rod Stewart – Can We Stay Home Tonight

De ouwe rot Rod Stewart heeft een nieuwe single uit. Het nummer heet CAN WE STAY HOME TONIGHT en is afkomstig van zijn album “Another Country”. De songs van de plaat werden opgenomen in zijn huis in Essex. Rod: “It seems like I’ve spent years of my life in a recording studio so being able to record this album at home, where most of the songs were written, felt so much more intimate and inspiring.” De inmiddels 70 jarige Britse rockzanger is vooral bekend om zijn rauwe bluesy stem. Er zijn ruim 250 miljoen platen van hem verkocht. Hij is opgenomen in de Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, als solist en (in 2012) als lid van zijn ex-band The Faces. Over zijn nieuwe album vertelt Steart het volgende: “I’ve found that the only way to write songs is to be as personal and honest as possible. And when my last album was so well-received it gave me the confidence to keep on writing, and to examine and write about different things.
