‘Boring People’ is de single van een popster in wording: L Devine. Met haar nummer krijgt ze intussen de nodige airplay op BBC Radio 1. Nederland is jammer genoeg zo ver nog niet en heeft de electropop zangeres nog niet ontdekt. “At the time [of writing “Boring People”], I felt I had almost fallen into a bit of a routine with my writing which made me feel quite creatively frustrated,” zegt de Bitse Devine in een statement.
“The chorus is a satirical take on the mundane parts of everyday life, while the verses get really introspective and self-deprecating. It’s basically a song about me getting bored of myself and all my bulls–t. I think the sound of the song itself perfectly mimics the feeling in the lyrics.” Op 17 mei staat ze op het podium van de Melkweg.
