Kinsky – I Am The Mountain

Ze komen uit Australië en droppen in Nederland hun eerste single! Het is Kinsky, de soulrootsreggae groep uit Sydney. Titel van de track is I AM THE MOUNTAIN. Het is een laidback reggae groove sound met een stel pittige blazers eraan toegevoegd. I AM THE MOUNTAIN klinkt warm en vrolijk maar het heeft wel degelijk een duidelijke boodschap. Het is een oproep tot collectieve verandering omdat het welzijn van de huidige en toekomstige generaties wordt bedreigd door een hebzuchtige en kortzichtige op geld beluste agenda. Kinsky: “We’re seeing it locally in Australia where there’s a constant struggle, a constant push-back by people who will be directly or indirectly affected by a government’s poorly thought policy to hand over prime agricultural lands to big miners. It’s insane. To secure our future we must manage the land sustainably and respectfully. It shouldn’t be a hard concept to grasp.”
