Twee jaar na het album ‘Shore’ is Fleet Foxes terug met nieuwe muziek! De verse single van de band rond Robin Pecknold heet ‘A sky like I’ve never seen’. Het nummer maakt deel uit van de Prime Video Docu Wildcat. Als je even heerlijk relaxt onderuit wilt gaan, is ‘A sky like I’ve never seen’ helemaal geschikt, met ambient geluiden, zoals het zachtjes stromende water. Robin Pecknold zegt over de single: “I was inspired by how the film employed unconventional means to arrive at something universally moving, and was struck by all the collisions inherent in the film’s conceit—between species, between hemispheres, between individuals, between the psychological and the natural. In hotel rooms and in borrowed studios, on time stolen from a world tour, I put this song together. It was an honor to be asked to make a song that could serve as an end-cap to this unique and affecting story and to collaborate with Tim again”.
De band uit Seatle werd opgericht in 2005 als Pineapple, maar een lokale band was reeds actief onder deze naam, waardoor de naam veranderd werd naar The Fleet Foxes (later gewoon Fleet Foxes) In 2008 volgde de internationale doorbraak met het album ‘Fleet Foxes’.
