Op 21 april verschijnt het nieuwe studioalbum ‘Fuse’ van Everything But the Girl. Een comeback van deze Britse groep dus, want laatste LP dateert alweer van 24 jaar terug: ‘Temperamental’. Twee voorproefjes kreeg je al met de release van de tracks ‘Nothing left to lose’ en ‘Caution in the wind’. Hun nieuwe single heet Run a red light’. “I met a lot of characters during my years in clubland, and I wrote this song about the guy at the end of the night, who dreams his big moment is just around the corner,” aldus Benn Watt, de mannelijke helft van het duo in een statement over deze nieuwe ballad. “All the bravado and good intentions masking the vulnerability.” Everything But The Girl werd bekend in de eighties met hits als als ‘Each and everyone’ en de mega klapper ‘Missing’.
