The Chvrches hebben een nieuwe single afgeleverd. Titel van de track is WARNING CALL. Het nummer is de main theme van de video game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, dat op 9 juni wordt uitgebracht op PS4, PC and Xbox One. De band werd in 2011 gevormd in Glasgow in Schotland en bestaat sinds de oprichting uit de bandleden Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook en Martin Doherty. De muziekstijl kan worden omschreven als electropop of synthpop. De bandleden maken naast synthesizers en samplers ook gebruik van zang, gitaar en basgitaar. WARNING CALL is geschreven door Lauren Mayberry. The Chvrches : “We were honored to be asked to contribute to the soundtrack for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. The sound of Chvrches’ music resonates with the minimalist sci-fi dystopia of the Mirror’s Edge world, and we feel that the song complements the drama, emotion and empowering themes of Faith’s story”.
