Becky G brengt vandaag, op Tweede Paasdag haar nieuwe single uit: ‘They ain`t ready’. De Amerikaanse zangeres raakte in 2011 bekend, nadat zij verschillende video’s op YouTube had geplaatst. Later zette ze al deze covers op een mixtape. Becky schreef het nummer “Oath” voor Cher Lloyd en werd gevraagd voor de remix “Die Young” van Ke$ha. In Nederland scoorde Becky G tot nu toe twee top tien hits: ‘Shower’ en ‘Mad Love’ met Sean Paul & David Guetta. Hoe kwam haar nieuwe single tot stand? Becky G:
“I’ve been thinking about releasing this song for awhile now and hadn’t decided on a date yet. My team and I decided last week that right now just felt right. However, I must say this release is slightly bittersweet. At the time, this song was meant to inspire others to fight for love and come together despite their differences. Today, it not only stands for that, but also hope.”
