Vance Joy kondigt vandaag zijn derde studio album aan: ‘In Our Own Sweet Time’. De plaat kwam tot stand tijdens de corona pandemie en belooft zijn meest persoonlijke tot dusver te worden. Aan de plaat werken o.a. Joel Little (Lorde, Taylor Swift), Dan Wilson (Adele, Leon Bridges) &Take a Day Trip (Miley Cyrus, Lil Nas X) mee. Over de titel van het album zegt Vance Joy: “I’m always drawn to the idea of timelessness or that shared moment that takes you out of the chaos outside. If the world is crazy, you can retreat somewhere. It’s always hard to think of the right title but I think that sums up the album perfectly.” De eerste single van het album is ‘Clarity’, waarvan vandaag de video is verschenen. De plaat ‘In our own sweet time’ verschijnt op 10 juni.
