‘You Haven’t Called is de tweede single van UB40’s aankomende nieuwe album ‘For The Many’ en wij presenteren je graag de verse video! ‘You Haven’t Called’ is geschreven door Robin Campbell. Zijn jonger broertje Duncan is verantwoordelijk voor de vocals.
“I wrote ‘You Haven’t Called’ over 20 years ago, specifically for a solo album Duncan was recording in Jamaica. It was meant to be a nod to the cool ruler Gregory Isaacs (Official Gregory Isaacs) in the style of ‘Night Nurse’ and ‘The Border’. Duncan loved the track, but his producer at the time had other ideas, so the song never made it beyond the demo stage,” aldus Robin.
“I’ve always harboured a desire to record the song and when I played the demo to the rest of the band everybody loved it, so we decided to rerecord it for our new album.”’ UB 40 brak in 1980 door met ‘Food For Thought’ en scoorde 4 nummer 1 hits in de Top 40.
