UB40 is terug met een bijzonder album: ‘Bigga baggariddim’. Een reggae plaat in samenwerking met artiesten uit 4 continenten waaronder House of Shem, Tippa Irie, BLVK H3RO, Inner Circle, Pablo Rider, KIOKO, Gilly G, Slinger, Winston Francis, Leno Banton en General Zooz (Reggae Rajahs) De release volgt op het succesvolle album ‘For The Many’ uit 2019. De echte UB40 fans herkennen de titel van ‘Bigga baggariddim’. Deze kwam ruim 35 jaar eerder al uit. Ditmaal is UB40 niet alleen herenigd met artiesten die te horen waren op het album uit 1985, maar werken ze ook samen met nieuw reggae talent.
Robin Campbell: “We really enjoy collaborations and this is a natural progression from the original Baggariddim, only more international, and a perfect companion to our last album For The Many because it uses the same rhythms/backing tracks, but features some of the reggae friends we’ve met and worked with around the world.” Het nummer ‘Roots rock reggae’ is hun nieuwe single.
