n Amerika is Thomas Rhett een hele, hele grote ster! De country zanger sleepte met zijn single releases alleen al 27 maal platina binnen. ‘Die a happy man’ (2015) was bijvoorbeeld goed voor zes maal platina. In Nederland scoorde Rhett niet één keer een hit. Zelfs niet ‘On me’, zijn release vorig jaar met Ava Max. Zijn nieuwe single heet ‘Country again’, waarvan vandaag ook de video in première is gegaan. Het nummer staat op zijn aankomende 5e album. Die plaat “is a lot of nostalgia and a lot of reflection; but rooted in the here and now, and in the work-in-progress of the man I am today. It’s things about life that I wanted to say at 19 years old, but I hadn’t even begun to gain the experience to know exactly what those things were, or how to say them. In that regard, this album was 11 years in the making,” aldus Rhett.
