The Fratellis hebben hun nieuwe single ‘Half Drunk Under A Full Moon’ uitgebracht, het uitbundige titelnummer van hun aanstaande album dat op 2 april verschijnt op Cooking Vinyl. En dat, terwijl de Schotse band op dit moment hun eerste top tien hit scoren in Hitzound`s TOP 40. Beide nummers staan op de nieuwe plaat. Deze Schotse groep werd opgericht in 2005 en ken je vooral van de hit ‘Chelsea Dagger’. Volgens de Britse Top of the Pops is de band bij elkaar gekomen door advertenties te plaatsen in een plaatselijke platenwinkel.
The Fratellis zegt over het nummer: “The middle section came to me on a rare day of Glasgow sunshine. I knew the song needed another part, but I’d had no joy finding it until one day I, er, might have had a little bit of acid. I’m talking the kind of dose that makes you work – a Silicon Valley dose. Okay, maybe a little more. That’s when the idea arrived, so it was totally worth it.”
