Met al veel mooie mijlpalen en een hele hoop uitverkochte shows wereldwijd op hun naam, brengt de band The Amazons vandaag hun nieuwe singel uit: ‘Pitch black’. Met de release van de rock track kondigen Matt Thomson (vocals/gitaar), Chris Alderton (gitaar) en Elliot Briggs (bass) tevens hun vierde album ‘21st Century Fiction’ aan. Over her het nieuwe album zegt frontman Matt Thompson:
“The record comes from the frustration of being in that place where my 20s were ending and being really cognisant of that. Self-flagellation; always wondering what’s around the corner, always scolding myself for not matching up to some unattainable ideals of what it means to be a successful band or even just a man.” De plaat komt uit op 9 mei 2025.
