Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds kondigen vandaag de details aan van ‘Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’. Uitgebracht op 11 juni op Sour Mash Records, ‘Back the Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’ is een 18-track greatest hits, en het juiste moment voor een herinnering aan de klassiekers van het eerste decennium van Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. Het album is ook beschikbaar op limited edition deluxe formats met een bonus disc met nog niet eerder uitgebrachte akoestische versies, remixes, instrumentals en een demo. Op single verschijnt ‘We’re On Our Way Now’.
Voor Record Store Day op 12 juni zal er een limited edition uitgebracht worden, genummerd en gekleurd dubbel LP met een exclusieve artprint. Over de timing van High Flying Birds greatest hits, zegt Noel: “10 years of The High Flying Birds?? Blimey! … just think of all the things I COULD have done in that time!!” Noel zegt over zijn aankomende album: “The title just came to me one afternoon, at the kitchen table. It’s a saying isn’t it: ‘back the way we came’. I actually thought it was a great title. Which is why it’s got vol 1. Because if there’s another one, I’m not coming up with another title!”
