✍️ Hitzound Review : Matt Simons, Deep End
Matt Simons brak in 2014 door met de single ‘Catch & Release’, die daarna een internationale hit werd door de remix van het Nederlandse dj-duo Deepend. De track stond in meerdere landen op #1 en heeft inmiddels ruim 552 miljoen streams. Ruim tien jaar later heeft de Amerikaanse singer-songwriter opnieuw samengewerkt met Deepend. Hun nieuwe track heet ‘These Nights’. De single gaat over slapeloze nachten die toch rust brengen, vertelt Matt: “It’s a song about the times you can ’t sleep, mind racing, still up at 5am and catch the sunrise. Although it can be stressful, some of the deepest thinking and growing happens on nights like these.” These Nights staat op zijn nieuwe album Sun In California, dat uitkomt op 23 mei. Op 22, 23, 24 en 26 november speelt Matt Simons vier shows in Nederland.
