Een maand voor de release van Marathon’s debuutalbum ‘Mark Kelly’s Marathon’, op 27 november, snijdt de band rond Marillions toetsenist het onderwerp moderne liefde aan met de nieuwe single ‘This Time’. Mark legt uit, wat de boodschap achter het nummer is: “The song explores how in today’s world long distance relationships regularly span thousands of miles in the absence of shared physical experience. When even time zones are different, these relationships must thrive online or whither and die.” Hij vervolgt: “It is a song about how both the times together and apart can be more meaningful.’. De single is gemixt door producer Dan Austin (Doves).
