Een nieuwe naam is deze singer-songwriter, die gewoon uit Nederland komt: Gildor. Hij schrijft liedjes met een betoverende tijdloze kwaliteit. In zijn sound klinken invloeden door van artiesten als JJ Cale, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young en Nick Drake. Gildor stelt zichzelf vandaag voor bij Hitzound met zijn single ‘Thinking Back’. Het nummer is een eerste voorproefje van zijn debuutalbum ‘Silent River’, dat later dit jaar volgt. Gildor zegt in een statement over ‘Thinking back’: “It’s about reminiscing on good ol’ times, that I’m sure we all know in one way or another. For me it encompasses careless days of summer out in the countryside in France. Growing up alongside friends, wondering how it could ever be any other way. But life is long and often turns out not to go as you would’ve imagined, and that might just be the beauty of it.” De single is geproduceerd door Isabel Gracefield (Adele, Radiohead, Sam Smith) en opgenomen in de RAK Studios in London.
