‘This has gotta stop’ is de nieuwe single van Eric Clapton. Met deze release maakt hij een statement tegen een aantal issues die de wereld van nu in zijn greep houdt: “This has gotta stop/Enough is enough/I can’t take this b.s. any longer.” De protestsong schreef hij zelf met Simon Climie als producer. De Britse gitarist, componist en zanger kon zijn eerste elektrische gitaar kopen op afbetaling dankzij zijn grootouders. Hij is al actief sinds de sixties, zoals als bandlid van The Yardbirds, Cream, Derek and the Dominos en als solo artiest.
