Na het aankondigen van zijn afscheidstournee, is de agenda van Elton John weer aardig gevuld. Dat resulteerde dit voorjaar in een samenwerking met Years & Years (‘It`s a sin’) en Dua Lipa. Het Australische dancetrio PNAU maakte de remix van ‘Cold heart’, die intussen in menige top tien vertoeft van de internationale charts. Intussen is er een nieuwe single uitgebracht door Elton John. ‘After all’ is een samenwerking met Charlie Puth. De track staat op Elton`s aankomende album ‘The lockdown sessions’. (release: 22 oktober)
“With ‘After All’ Charlie and I were in the studio, just the two of us. He’s got a little home set up with his keyboards, synths, and Pro Tools,” zegt John in een statement. “I played electric piano and actually wrote the song all the way through and then Charlie wrote the lyrics pretty quickly. He’s incredibly quick, Charlie. We just had an amazing chemistry in the studio.” De nieuwe single van Elton en Charlie staat deze week nieuw genoteerd in de TIP 40.
