Doja Cat heeft haar nieuwe album Vie uitgebracht. Vie is het vijfde album van de Amerikaanse zangeres, rapper, songwriter en muziekproducent. Vorige maand verscheen de eerste single Jealous Type. Doja Cat vertelt wat Vie (Frans voor ‘leven’) voor haar betekent: “These songs can be pertained to the relationship with yourself or others. I feel strongly about the meaning of the word Vie because without life there is no love and without love there is no adventure. This is an adventurous album and with homages and nods to the 80’s, 70’s, and 90’s, I wanted to give my own personal modern twist.”
Tegelijk met het album heeft Doja ook de video bij haar nieuwe single Gorgeous uitgebracht, waarin onder meer Irina Shayk, Amelia Gray, Alek en Imaan Hammam te zien zijn. De track debuteert hoog in de aankomende editie van de TIP 40.
Onlangs trad Doja Cat op bij de 2025 MTV Music Video Awards, waar ze ook de Best K-Pop Video Award won voor haar samenwerking met LISA op Born Again. Volgende week is Doja Cat co-host bij The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon en maakt ze haar debuut bij Saturday Night Live. In november begint Doja aan haar Ma Vie World Tour.
