Vandaag gaat de video in première van Daya! De Amerikaanse zangeres dropt de clip van ‘First time’ en wat een lekkere track is dat! Vier jaar terug brak ze internationaal door met haar debuutalbum ‘Sit still, look pretty’ en de single ‘Hide away’. Maar in Nederland is Daya het meest bekend van het nummer ‘Don`t let me down’ met The Chainsmokers, dat haar ook nog eens een GRAMMY opleverde.
Voor ‘First time’ werkte Daya samen met de Zweedse songwriter SHY Martin en het productie duo Jack&Coke. “A natural result of being more in touch with myself and the world around me, knowing exactly what I want and how to get there,” aldus Daya over haar nieuwe single. “It feels like a rebirth of self – sonically and visually – and it’s a small piece of an entire world I’m building with my new partnership with J Kash at Sandlot Records and AWAL.”
