Nog maar net geleden zette Coldplay het Belgische Koning Boudewijnstadion op zijn kop met hun Music From The Spheres World Tour. Jammer genoeg kwam de Britse band niet naar Nederland. Van het nummer 1 album ‘Music from the spheres’ bracht Coldplay al enkele singles uit, zoals ‘People of the pride’ en ‘Higher power’. Intussen is deze week bij onze Zuiderburen het sterke nummer ‘Humankind’ verkozen tot Q-TopSchijf (de Belgische variant van QMusic). Het intro doet erg aan ELO denken!
Over hun nieuwe single zegt Coldplay: “Humankind was probably the hardest song to record on the album, just because we couldn’t quite get the feel of it right until the end of the sessions. And then suddenly it all clicked into place and now we’re really excited to play it live.” Aankomende woensdag zal Coldplay met ‘Humankind’ nieuw scoren in de TIP 40 van Hitzound.
