Blanco Brown heeft héél goed geluisterd naar Lil Nas X. Met zijn ‘Old Town Road’ voert X in Amerika al 15 weken de Billboard Hot 100 aan. Brown heeft de country trap nu ook omarmt met zijn nieuwe single ‘The Git Up’. Vorig jaar tekende Brown een platendeal met Broken Bow Records/BMG. Namens het label legt Jon Loba uit: “We thought, ‘[“The Git Up”] is an insane song,” Loba says. “It can be viral. Let’s put our toe in the water immediately with everything happening with [Lil Nas X], and then we’ll follow it up with the meat of the EP.” Later vandaag maakt Blanco Brown zijn debuut in de nieuwste editie van de TIP 30.
