BENEE – Happen To Me

Vandaag gaat de video in première van ‘Happen to me’, de nieuwe single van Benee. De track is afkomstig van haar debuutalbum ‘Hey u, x’. De Nieuw-Zeelandse zangeres brak een jaar geleden door in Nederland met ‘Supalonely’. Weet je nog? Daarna volgde een aantal single releases, die echter niet veel aandacht in Nederland kregen. Benee hoopt op meer met ‘Happen to me’:  “This is probably is my favourite track on the album, possibly my favourite song that I’ve made. I sing about my anxiety, which I’ve only had to deal with in the last few years. I can’t go to a shop by myself without freaking out. I write about my fear of flying, about someone kidnapping me or me burning in fire, all these terrible things that could possibly happen. It’s really silly.” Benee schreef het nummer met Josh Fountain.
