Vandaag keert Tim Bergling terug naar huis. In Stockholm staat vandaag de special tribute op het programma van de overleden Zweedse superster Avicii. Het bijzondere evenement vindt plaats in de Friends Arena, de geboorteplaats van de DJ: Stockholm. Tijdens het concert worden voor het eerst enkele nummers live uitgevoerd, na het overlijden van de Zweedse DJ/producer.
Aan het benefietconcert werken 19 van de originele artiesten mee, die zongen op zijn grootste hits. Zoals Aloe Blacc, Rita Ora, Adam Lambert, Bonn en Sandro Cavazza. De avond zal worden geopend door vele grote collega DJ`s van Avicii. Wat te denken van David Guetta, Kygo, Dimitri Vegas x Like Mike, Nicky Romero en Laidback Luke. Het waren allemaal vrienden van de Zweedse voormalige top DJ Tim Bergling. De opbrengsten van het concert gaan naar de Avicii Tribute Concert for Mental Health Awareness.
Avicii`s vader over de nieuwe single ‘Fades Away’: “This was the first song that came out of the sessions with Tim, Carl Falk, Joe Janiak and me in the spring of 2018. Tim and Joe met for the first time this day, and Tim just loved Joe’s voice and vibe from the start. We talked briefly about 60s & 70s bands and artists being quite comfortable working in pop but still having this otherworldly weirdness about their songs. How they made giant leaps in mood and feel within just one song. This conversation unintentionally seeped into Fades Away.”
