Avenue beat – F2020

Het vriendenclubje Sam Backoff, Savana Santos & Sami Bearden vormt sinds vorig jaar Avenue Beat en scoorden vorig jaar in Amerika met ‘Delight’. Intussen is de nieuwe single van het trio uitgebracht: F2020. De ‘F’ staat voor ‘Fuck”, want het corona virus, de Olympische Spelen die niet doorgingen net als andere grote sportevenementen, de massale branden in Australië: het maakt van 2020 een jaar om snel te vergeten! De teaser van het nummer ging al viral op TikTok.  “When I was writing the chorus I was like, OK there’s two ways this can go,” aldus Savana. “It can either be depressing as f\*ck, because that’s the reality of the situation. But then the other way it could be is, I love when there’s a bop that has a message you feel. I wanted this to make people want to roll down the windows, driving down the highway, scream-singing and flipping off the universe.”
