We trappen in 2024 af met de verse singel van Alice Merton! Het nummer heet ‘Runaway girl’, dat ze samen schreef met James Dring. De Duits-Iers-Canadese singer-songwriter startte haar carrière in Berlijn (Duitsland). We kennen haar vooral van haar singel ‘No roots’ uit 2017, afkomstig van haar debuut EP. Over de gedachte achter haar nieuwe singel legt Alice uit op haar social media: “Run away girl comes from a place of insecurity and trying to figure out where in life you belong. I don’t think I’ve figured that out yet and maybe you never do. This song is for all those restless minds and hearts who can’t sleep at night because of the spiraling questions keeping you awake, but sometimes there’s peace of mind knowing you’re not the only one who feels out of place.
