Met “The Secret” keert ‘the legendary music icon and magical master’ Alan Parsons terug naar de pop / rock sound, waarmee The Alan Parsons Project zo bekend mee is geworden. Na een afwezigheid van 15 jaar toont Parsons aan zijn muzikale toverstaf nog niet te zijn verloren. Naast de stem van Parsons zelf, heeft hij uiteraard weer veel gastzangers. Jason Mraz, Todd Cooper, Mark Mikel, PJ Olsson, Jordan Huffman, Jared Mahone en Lou Gramm brengen met hun vocalen de veelal uitbundige, orchestrale, cinematische en sfeervolle stukken naar nog grotere hoogten.
Alan: “I met Jason two years ago through a neighbour who grows coffee on his ranch. Jason wanted to grow coffee himself and our neighbour, Jay, was kind enough to introduce us since we had mutual musical interests. For Miracle, Jason recorded his vocals in Dallas while I listened in Santa Barbara and we sent files back and forth, resulting in this song. Thus proving that you don’t necessarily have to be in the same studio with someone to create music.” Van de plaat verschijnt ‘Miracle’ met Jason Mraz op single.
