Paul Mc Cartney – Egypt Station (teaser)

Paul McCartney komt met een nieuw album! Dat nieuws maakte de voormalige Beatles legende op zijn 76e verjaardag bekend via social media. De plaat krijgt de titel “Egypt Station”. Het wordt zijn eerste nieuwe materiaal na 2013. “Egypt Station” is zijn 17e solo-album en Greg Kurstin is aangetrokken als co-producer.

Voor het artwork van de hoes liet Mc Cartney zich niet inspireren op India, zoals met de Beatles in de sixties, maar ditmaal dus op Egypte:
“My original inspiration was similar to a picture we were talking about the other day, with Egyptian symbols and shapes I got from looking at areference book on Egypt. I was interested in the way they drew sunflowers, sotwo appear on the left and on the right. It was a nice shape, so I took that andthen I also love the way they symbolize trees. I like the way they reduce a treeto just some very simple symbols.”
