Aloe Blacc is back met nieuwe muziek! Na hits als “Wake Me Up” met Avicii, “The Man” en “I Need a Dollar” komt vandaag de video van zijn verse single uit. “I Count On Me” heet zijn track. Of het de voorbode van een nieuw album is? Blacc`s laatste plaat “Lift You Spirit” dateert alweer uit 2013.
“Throughout history, there have been many unsung heroes,” aldus Blacc over het idee, dat achter de nieuwe single zit. “I didn’t know about Dr. Don Shirley, a classically trained African-American pianist, touring during the civil rights movement. Dr. Shirley was such a unique individual at such a difficult time in the history of America; wanting to tour across the country to perform specifically for white audiences in the South shows a lot of determination.”
